OLD AGE

I love travelling. It has been my dream since my youth. I have traveled a lot, but I'd like to travel more. So, I plan to travel around the world after retiring. I hope to be healthy when I get older especially after 65 years old to be able to realize my dream. I'm sure I will not feel well if I lose my health as not to be so active to enjoy enough of my old age. I do my best to be healthy; although I have diabetes now, it can't stop me from reaching this dream. However, I want to live as long as I'm healthy and active and can do everything for myself. It means that it doesn't matter how old I hope to be. Life is joyous for me as long as I can stand and walk and carry out my duties. I don't like to bother anybody else because of my illness and old age.

Ginseng Farm

One morning in class, Joseph announced to us a field trip to Great Mountain Ginseng Farm and Pillitteri Winery, located on the road to Niagara-on-the-Lake in St. Catherines. When I got home, I told my wife    about it, and she agreed to go with me.
On the agreed Friday morning that the weather was foggy, my wife and I drove to MicroSkills to meet Joseph and the others in the parking lot. At 9:15, we started towards the destination in five cars. On the way Hamid called and told me that Ming is going too with three people. We met them at the ginseng farm.
After watching a video in the ginseng farm`s store about this herb and a walking tour to the demo farm with a guide, we got back to the store, and some of us bought some of their products.
After leaving the farm, we drove to Pillitteri Winery, where we met Mrs. Pillitteri, one of the owners. She served some of us wines and sweet non-alcohol beverages. Then she explained the history of this winery, of how it was established in the 18th century by Mr. Pillitteri who immigrated to Canada from Italy. She also led us to the vineyard and then showed us barrels of red wines stored in the cellar of the winery. Before leaving the winery, some of us bought a bottle or more of their products.
After that, some of us turned back to Toronto and the others went to Niagara-on-the-Lake, a beautiful and lovely town with a marvelous sight of mountains on the west side and a spectacular view of Lake Ontario on the north side of the town.
Niagara Falls, one of the most amazing places in the world was my last destination along with four others.
Thanks to Joseph, MicroSkills and all the people who arranged this fun and educational field trip.

On Tuesday May 28, 2013 I went to North York Civil Center by TTC for a Job Fair Expo which  Joseph, our teacher, asked us the day before to take part in. I got  in the train in the Bessarion station at 9:40 . At 9:45 I saw Joseph and two classmates with him in the Bayview station. In the Sheppard station we changed the train to go to the North York station. It was 9:55 that we reached the Expo. We met some other classmates there. Besides the Expo, also there was a program called "Interview Techniques".We all took part in this program. Cheryl Rankin told us about what we should do in an interview. She explained 10 things that should be considered in an interview. After this program we went to Expo hall and Joseph took a picture of all of us together. He also took some other pictures from different scenes of there. After getting some information about jobs,  finally we left the Expo for lunch and said goodbye to each other.

Bluffer's Park

According to the schedule of  Linc 4&5 of Micro Skills, on last Friday May 17, 2013 the class  went to Bluffer`s Park for a picnic. My wife( not a classmate) came with me.
At 9;25 we picked up Angela and at 9;35 Anna as I had set with them before.we arrived at 10:00 in the parking lot of the park in front of unloading pond of the Park, where we met Joseph with some of our classmates.Joseph unloaded his Kayak which was fixed on the rooftop of his car with black ropes. Then we went to the park to find seats for potluck. In the way we saw  two girls cooking a meal named SAMANOO, boiling and stirring it in a very big pot over a bonfire of broken and dropped off branches and twigs. My wife helped them for a couple of minutes and stirred it. Meanwhile, I took some pictures of them. A few minutes later we reached the classmates near two selected seats in the sunshine, because of nice weather that was neither cold nor warm. We put the pots of  foods which were of the different kinds of traditional foods on the tables . Davood and me went around to see the park and its facilities. Near the pond we saw some of the classmates were riding Kayak one by one.It made me willing to ride Kayak.I did it and it was very pleasant.
The pond was shallow and the water was too calm, so nobody was afraid of riding Kayak for the first time.
After lunch we drove to cookie factory,as scheduled. the factory has a shop to sell its products. the prices were wholesale prices and so very cheap comparing to the supermarkets`s prices.
At 2:00 p.m. we turned back  home .I dropped Anna and Angela at the same place I had picked them up.
It was a very nice and pleasant picnic.
Thanks to Joseph and Micro Skills
